Ready to Get Things Working for Us Again

This Is My Home.
That's Why I’m Running.

I did not come to Fort Wayne to run for office.
I was born here, raised here, and chose to stay. This community taught me the Hoosier values I carry today. It is where my family put down roots and where my children are growing up.

I am a married mother of three, business owner, and a neighbor who understands that while our paths are all different, we all deserve a system that is fair, functional, and focused on the future.

My Lived Experience

I know what state policy means in the real world because I’ve lived it. My perspective isn't from a textbook or a committee room; it’s from a lifetime of navigating the systems that Fort Wayne families depend on.

  • Work Ethic and Responsibility
I know the value of hard work and the responsibility that comes with opportunity. I worked my way up from the retail floor into management, learning how to lead teams and solve problems in real-time.

Later, I had the privilege of working in my mother’s insurance business, where I learned the "fine print" of protecting families and the discipline required to run a successful operation.

  • The Reality of the Safety Net
After my son was born with profound disabilities, I learned firsthand how fragile stability can be. I have navigated the complexities of Medicaid and relied on WIC to keep my family afloat during the hardest years of my life.

I’ve was in a serious car accident that required multiple surgeries, and the uncertainty of job loss. I know what it’s like to rely on support systems—and how hard Hoosiers work to get back on their feet. For me, a "line item" in the state budget isn't just a number; it’s the difference between a family’s security and a total crisis.

  • A Stake in Our Community
Today, I own and operate multiple local businesses and am a local property owner, managing rental homes and a commercial building. I understand the real costs of doing business because I deal with them every day.

Having been both the person who needed a safety net and the person now helping fund it, I bring a balanced, real-world perspective to the Statehouse.

Hard Work Should Still Count for Something

I believe that if you work hard and play by the rules, you should be able to get ahead.

But today, that promise feels further out of reach for too many families in Fort Wayne. Paychecks do not stretch the way they used to, and everyday costs keep rising.

We are facing two different, but equally dangerous, realities:

  • Doing Everything "Right" Isn't Enough
Even though Hoosiers are doing things right, the system often feels stacked against them. Many of our neighbors are doing exactly what they are supposed to do by working full time, saving where they can, and playing by the rules, yet they are finding that the baseline for a stable life keeps moving further out of reach.
  • The "Instant" Change
I also know that life can change in a heartbeat. Any family, no matter how responsible, can be one accident, one diagnosis, or one layoff away from needing help. I have lived that moment, and I know the safety net should not feel like a trap. It should be a stable bridge that helps people get back on their feet with dignity.

Affordability is slipping away. Families are working harder than ever, but rising costs are moving faster than their bank accounts can keep up. It shouldn’t be this hard to stay afloat in the community you call home.

Our state government should be focused on leveling the playing field. That means fixing the "math" that allows prices to outpace wages, and ensuring our systems are ready to catch you if you fall.

I’m running to make sure the "Hoosier Promise" isn't just a memory, but a reality for the next generation.

When Systems Fail, Families Suffer

When our state systems fail, the impact isn't just a number on a spreadsheet—it is a crisis in our neighborhoods. We see the consequences of leadership that ignores the "fine print" every single day in Fort Wayne.

  • The Deadly Waiting List: We see the failure of leadership when a $1 billion Medicaid error turns into a two-year waitlist, forcing seniors and people with disabilities to go without essential care. For families in crisis, these lists aren't just a delay—they are a life sentence. We cannot allow our neighbors to die waiting for the support they were need.

  • The Revolving Door: We see it when property crimes go unpunished and neighbors no longer feel secure in their own driveways. When repeat offenders exploit loopholes to walk free, the message to our community is that consequences are optional.

  • Hard Choices: We see it when skyrocketing property taxes force neighbors on fixed incomes to choose between the homes they’ve paid off and the groceries they need to survive.

  • The Economic Blindspot: We see it when the state cuts programs tied to federal matching dollars, killing local jobs and leaving our own tax dollars on the table in Washington. When the state turns down $80 million in federal support like SUN Bucks to avoid 7 million dollars in administrative costs, it is not a saving. It is a massive loss for hungry children and our local grocery stores.

  • The Childcare Ripple Effect: We the ripple effects when the state pauses childcare vouchers. When families lose access to care, parents are forced out of the workforce and local businesses lose the workers they need. This is more than a lack of empathy. It is simply bad math. Short-sighted cuts that sideline our workers do not save the state money. Instead, they cost our community its stability and weaken Indiana's economy.

This isn’t a partisan problem—it’s a failure of leadership. When the state ignores hundreds of millions in waste but cuts a child's lunch or a senior's care, they are telling us where their priorities lie. I’m running to bring common-sense accountability back to the table.

What I Bring to the Statehouse

I have not spent my career chasing titles or political ambition. I have spent it navigating the real-world systems that families depend on. I will approach public service the same way I approach my businesses: by paying attention, asking hard questions, and fixing what is broken.

  • A Problem-Solver’s Mindset
Small policy decisions quietly create big problems for families over time. With a background in Statistics and Risk Management, I am trained to take on complex problems and turn them into real solutions by digging into the fine print.

I’m a "math person" who sees the hidden costs in our laws and thinks about the unintended consequences. I will use my background to identify these systemic failures, demand accountability, and push for solutions that actually work.

  • A Clear Focus on Affordability
Families deserve a government that helps prevent small setbacks from becoming lifelong crises. I will demand accountability for every tax dollar and transparency for every policy change.
  • Permanent Commitment
I am not looking for a stepping stone to a higher office. My stake in this community is permanent.

It is time to make sure government works for the people who live here. Indiana needs a Senator who understands that when one system fails, it causes a ripple effect throughout our entire community. I will do the math to ensure we aren't leaving our own tax dollars on the table in Washington while our families struggle at home.

As your Senator, I won’t just look at line items; I’ll look at the big picture—closing loopholes, recovering waste, and maximizing every federal dollar to build a stronger, more affordable Indiana for everyone.
